My dog is 3 year old, male border collie. He loves playing with his frisbee and is very energetic. He’s very good at fetching, a big requirement for frisbee, what else does he need to know if anything? How can I get him to behave in public? At home, he behaves fine, but in public, he goes berserk, I’m afriad that he’d run away if I took him to play frisbee, and you cna’t play frisbee or do agility with a leash on either.

I have a Golden Retriver X Black Labrador Retriever. Her name is Snickers, she turned three on April 22,2007. She is realy, realy sweet and very entergetic. I’m still working with her to be more obidient, she dosn’t act too puppyish today, bu she has her moments. I’ve been interested in agility since I was around three years old, watching Border Collies and all my fav breeds. I’m going to join 4-H. I want to learn more of the rules of agility, and all about it. Snickers cna jump realy well, she is very collected and a neat jumper, I’ve set up little odd and n jumps in our garage and yard. But she is always on the leash. She isnt afraid of water, and very, very brave! (Though I don;t think their is water is agility…) Can anyone give me any information on agility, and any tips on agility training? Answers are greatly appreciated! Peace out! XD

I have a border collie that I am starting to compete in agility, and she is very fast. The only problem is she jumps really fast and flat. Does anyone have training tips on how to get a more rounded jump from her. Thanks in advance!

I have a 4 1/2 year old Welsh Terrier that I have started agility with. I have jumped him 20 in at the highest (1 ft-18in in a coarse) and I have taught him to do tunnels flawlessly. But when I teach weaving, he gets it when you have them far apart, but once I put them closer, he weaves one pole, runs down the rest of the line, and weaves the last. My command for him is ‘weave’ and I say it each time he is supposed to bend. I am getting frusterated and so is my dog because he starts to get sour on the topic. Is there any way I could teach him to weave? I also want to teach the teeter totter and A frame but I have no accsess to either of them. He tries to jump everything I point at him also (first time I had short weave poles and he jumped over the weave pole…I was so afraid he was going to bust a gut, I had to make them 5 ft tall).

I have a hyper Black and White Border collie named Roxy. I have trained almost everything a dog can learn (like Sit, stay, come, backup, lay, roll over, play dead etc.) i have even taught her how to jump over 4 feet and to swerve in out if poles. I was wondering if agility would be good for a dog like her.
Do they need speicial training for that?
Is more than than just what i have taught?
How much do enetrance fees usually cost?

i’m not sure if my dog Molly likes agility or not. At the class she loves it because of all the other dogs. She hates doing agility in the backyard though. If I take her out to do agility in the backyard she’ll start shaking or pulling on the leash to go back inside. Sometimes she gets her collar off and then runs to the door. I just don’t understand why she likes doing it at the class and not in the backyard. What could I do to get her to enjoy doing agility in the backyard too? Please help! Thanks
